Vietnam aims to achieve at least 8% growth this year and double digits in the following years, with maximum utilization of sea space, underground space and outer space. Currently, Vietnam has four airlines operating 98 international routes to 20 countries and territories. The Prime Minister suggested that Airbus continue to cooperate with Vietnamese airlines to develop the aviation industry, including developing Vietnam's aircraft fleet; expanding the supply chain and manufacturing Airbus aircraft components in Vietnam and globally; and investing in Vietnamese spare parts factories. In addition, Airbus considers transferring technology to Vietnamese partners in developing the aviation industry; training high-quality human resources; keep boosting the Group's comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, especially in new areas such as aviation logistics, aerospace, and satellites, according to PM Chinh. Van Wersch said that there are about 200 Airbus aircraft being operated by Vietnamese airlines, accounting for 65% of the aircraft market share in Vietnam. In addition to civil aviation cooperation, Airbus can implement projects in space technology and aircraft component manufacturing, among others, he said. He expected that Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions for Airbus to cooperate with partners to upgrade and develop sustainable aircraft as suggested by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, as well as Vietnam's development orientation.
